The most important aspect of photography for me has always been its ability to capture
memories. When I look back at my memories though, especially of home, they are not static
quiet moments. They are heavily characterized by the sounds I associate with them; the sound
of the train going by every morning or the cicadas in the summer. For this body of work, I set
out to document the landscape of the town I grew up in through imagery and sound recordings.
The sounds that play with the photographs were taken at the time that I took the photo
allowing for a deeper immersive experience into the landscape.
